Troop 46 of Camano Island, and Troop 86 of Stanwood, are working together! No more envelops or door hanger reminders, now you’ll get to sign -up directly at tree farms, or grocery stores locally. Local advertising in crab cracker and visual sandwich boards, and main banner locations will be helpful to advertise this.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
When you purchase your tree, there are signs where to drop off your tree or wreath, and a box to request pick-ups if you need. Otherwise, we’ll see you on at the drop offs!
Easy Drop off Locations
Ja9nuary 9, 16, 23 Lenz will provide a compost container to accept Christmas trees and wreaths at parking lots: Viking Village (Stanwood 9,16) and IGA Camano Plaza Market (9,23).
How to Recycle your Tree or Wreath?
Simply as nature intended. No extras! And it will be transformed into soil for your garden.
- no metal (no stand or wire ring)
- no plastic (no ornaments or decorations)
- no glass
IF YOU NEED HELP TAKING OFF THE RING FROM THE WREATH, PLEASE LET US HELP!
We’ll have a container just for metal rings for recycling.
Any good wreaths may be considered for re-use.

- as soil in the spring time through Lenz! Please let us know if interested!
Please be sure to take a recycling tag to remind you about this fabulous recycling opportunity! –and mark what day you plan to recycle it.
