How easy it is to throw something away, but when businesses found out they can make a difference with their “would be” garbage, the motivation changed instantly.

Terracycle has announced that this brigade collection will be closing end of October 2014, so no points will be awarded after this.  However, we will try to find a way to still get these recycled at a nearby facility.

We want to recognize the following business for taking the time to save cheese wrappers and cheese bags:

Sahara Pizza in Stanwood, WA

Papa Murphy’s in Stanwood, WA

Amigo’s Restaurant in Stanwood, WA

IGA Camano Plaza Market in Camano Island, WA

Haggen in Stanwood, WA

As of Oct 2014, we are currently over $1000.00 in garbage collected and sent to Terracycle’s Recycling Program.  At the end of this year, we are excited to award the earnings to benefit activities and community programs such as the following:

1.  Camano Center

2. Boy Scouts Troop 046

3. CASA Animal Shelter

4. PTA organizations of Stanwood/Camano School District

5. Stanwood Youth Football
